- Metadata attributes: Any number of attributes can be defined.
- Metadata templates: All attributes dan be assigned to a template.
- Metadata templates assignment: All templates can be assigned to a category and an user / group.
- Metadata authority: For each category can be defined whether the user / group has the authority to define metadata or not.
- Metadata search: You can search all the metadata, or even in individual attributes. In the Search Results list the attributes can be viewed and sorted.
- Metadata search template: The search criteria can be stored in a search template.
- Metadata attribut in text box: Each attribute can be inserted in the text box.
- Metadata: All attributes can be exported in CSV format. The CSV file can be opened in Excel.

- Screen shots: With the new feature Scree shots it is possible to take screen shots directly into KnowHowDB.
- Image and Link path: When you first start, the environment link and image path name will be adjusted automatically in the options.
- Search panel: In the Search panel the text "Category" replaced with "Category Search".
- Full screen: The text field can be viewed in full screen.
- E-Mails: Attachments from e-mails can be moved via drag and drop from Outlook and Groupwise to the link list.
- Help in English: Help text available in English.
- Auto ID: Auto ID as a new field in the results list. It can also be searched for this.

- Link service: With the option links service, it is now possible to search terms in the attached documents. All recognizable formats such as Adobe. PDF, Microsoft Word. DOC, and many more will be indexed and stored in the database. This service can be installed on a server or client PC and is running in the background. The start and stop intervals can be defined.
- History compare: All changed records are stored in the history. With this function it is possible to compare two different versions of records. So you'll see very quickly what has been changed on an item.
- Login: New users who log on, will be stored in a dropdown menu.
- Open Windows directory: Clicking the right mouse button on a link, it is possible to open it in Windows Explorer.
- E-Mail attachments: E-mail attachments can be moved directly into the KnowHowDB with drag & drop.
- Link path: This feature has been completely revised.
- Drag & drop tree view: If a record or category will be moved with drag & drop, it will be displayed where to drop.
- Create SQL database: An SQL database can easily be created using a form from the KnowHowDB. Previously, this had to be done manually from a DOS window.
- Style: Office 2007 style added.
- Extras - Options: New style in the options form.
- Search form: The search form has been changed for better navigation and completed with the search for the link service.
- Search within records: When searching within a record it is possible to jump from one search item to the other by clicking the enter key.
- Bug fix: KnowHowDB is now Windows Vista and Windows 7 ready, including the function of UAC.

- Microsoft Word 2007: The Word 2007 docx format is supported when importing.

- Synchronization (optional): The synchronization database locally is no longer asked whether links should be relative linked or copied. There will always be copied and relative linked.
- Bug fix: When you copy and paste records, the sort order is not properly filled.
- Bug fix: When replacing link paths with the SQL Server the following error has been resolved: "The data type 'text', 'ntext' … only through the PERMIT IS NULL or LIKE operator to be compared or sorted".

- Synchronization: Entire database can be synchronized to a laptop. Thus, a field service representative can access the complete data. New records can be created and synchronized with the company server.
- : In the link panel, the files are re-inserted as relative paths. This has the advantage that the drive path can be changed without losing the links.
- Links with UNC-path: A file can be opened even when the network drive letter has changed.
- Command Line: Individual parameters can be passed. In addition, a search string with / s can be passed to KnowHowDB.
- Command Line: Extended with / n for Environment Name for synchronization.
- Titlebar: In the title bar the environment name is displayed, so that in the taskbar the opened KnowHowDB database will be recognized.
- 64-bit: KnowHowDB now also supports Windows XP and Vista 64-bit.

- Hyperlinks in records: Within the text, a link to another record can be made, by moving the requested record from the tree view into the text field. Records can be linked among each other, for example for building up a knowledge network. A structure similar to the Intranet and Internet can be built.
- Drag and drop of search results: Search results can be drag and drop into tree view.
- Moving pictures into the text field: Files of pictures from the Windows Explorer can be moved into the text field. Any other type of files will be inserted as a link.
